The Professional Learning Center (PLC) invites faculty, staff, and administrators to learn, grow, and connect in service of our students. Our mission is to provide high-quality growth opportunities to transform practices across all educational environments.

We believe that when professional learning is done well, student outcomes improve and every member of our college community feels valued, supported, and empowered.

What We Offer

Canvas & Technology Support

Drop-in help, one-on-one consultations, video tutorials, and how-to guides for Canvas and instructional technology tools.

Workshops & Professional Development

In-person, Zoom, and self-paced workshops on Canvas, RSI, accessibility, and course design — all flex-credit eligible.

Distance Education Compliance

Guidance on RSI, course approval, POCR peer review, and Title 5 compliance — so you can focus on teaching, not paperwork.

ZTC & OER Support

Find free and low-cost course materials, get your section designated Zero Textbook Cost, and adopt or adapt open educational resources.

California’s AB 1887 requires colleges to flag ZTC sections in the schedule of classes. The PLC can help you find OER, adopt or adapt materials, verify your course qualifies, and set everything up in Canvas.
