The House Manager (HM) will ensure the smooth operation of systems, services, and staff and act as the main point of contact for all related needs. They will understand and clearly communicate the family’s preferences, goals, and expectations to staff and other team members. A high level of organization is required to perform all duties. The HM will create and update maintenance schedules, household manuals, protocols, and policies. They will manage household calendars, coordinate vendors, negotiate and review contracts, track expenses, manage detailed inventories (e.g., wine, art, and collectibles), oversee special projects, packing and unpacking, and assist the team with pet care for the family’s dogs.
